Terms of Service

Welcome to RPS Arena. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the RPS Arena platform ("Service"), operated by RPS Arena ("we," "our," or "us"). By connecting your wallet and using RPS Arena, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

1.1 Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use RPS Arena. By using our Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

1.2 Geographic Restrictions

RPS Arena is not available to residents of, or persons located in, the following jurisdictions:

• North Korea
• Iran
• Syria
• Cuba
• Russia
• Belarus
• Crimea region
• Donetsk region
• Luhansk region
• Myanmar (Burma)
• Venezuela
• Zimbabwe

Additionally, you may not use RPS Arena if doing so would violate any laws or regulations applicable to you in your jurisdiction. Some U.S. states and other jurisdictions have restrictions on skill-based competitions with entry fees. It is your sole responsibility to determine whether your use of RPS Arena is legal in your jurisdiction.

By using RPS Arena, you represent and warrant that you are not located in, under the control of, or a national or resident of any restricted jurisdiction.

1.3 Wallet Requirements

To use RPS Arena, you must have:

• A compatible Ethereum wallet (e.g., MetaMask, Rabby)
• Sufficient USDC on the Base network to pay entry fees
• Sufficient ETH on the Base network to pay transaction gas fees

2. How RPS Arena Works

2.1 Game Overview

RPS Arena is a skill-based competitive game where three players compete in real-time. Each player is assigned a role (Rock, Paper, or Scissors) and must use movement strategy to eliminate opponents or collect objectives to win.

2.2 Entry Fee and Prize Pool

• Entry Fee: 1 USDC per match
• Total Prize Pool: 3 USDC (from 3 players)
• Winner Payout: 2.4 USDC
• Platform Fee: 0.6 USDC (20% of prize pool)

2.3 Match Rules

1. Three players join a lobby, each paying a 1 USDC entry fee
2. Each player is randomly assigned a role: Rock, Paper, or Scissors
3. Rock beats Scissors, Scissors beats Paper, Paper beats Rock
4. Players move around the arena and collide with opponents to eliminate them
5. If two players remain, the game enters "Showdown Mode" where players race to collect hearts
6. The last player standing (or first to collect 2 hearts in Showdown) wins

2.4 Skill-Based Competition

RPS Arena is a game of skill. While initial role assignment is random, the outcome depends on player movement, positioning, strategy, and reaction time. Success requires understanding game mechanics, anticipating opponent movements, and making strategic decisions in real-time.

3. Payments and Refunds

3.1 Entry Fee Payment

When you join a lobby, you authorize a payment of 1 USDC from your connected wallet. This transaction occurs on the Base blockchain and is subject to network gas fees (paid in ETH).

3.3 Prize Distribution

Prizes are distributed automatically to the winner's connected wallet address upon match completion. Prize payouts are final and processed on the Base blockchain.

3.4 Transaction Finality

All transactions on the Base blockchain are final and irreversible. We cannot reverse, cancel, or modify any blockchain transaction. Double-check your wallet connection before joining a lobby.

4. User Conduct

4.1 Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to play
• Exploit bugs, glitches, or vulnerabilities in the game
• Collude with other players to manipulate match outcomes
• Use multiple accounts to gain unfair advantages
• Attempt to interfere with other players' connections or gameplay
• Circumvent geographic restrictions using VPNs or other tools
• Engage in any form of cheating or unfair play
• Use the Service for money laundering or other illegal activities

4.2 Account Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban any wallet address that violates these Terms, without prior notice and without refund of any entry fees.

5. Disclaimers and Risks

5.1 Cryptocurrency Risks

5.2 No Guarantee of Winnings

RPS Arena does not guarantee any winnings. Your success depends on your skill and the skill of your opponents. You should only play with funds you can afford to lose.

5.3 Service Availability

We do not guarantee that RPS Arena will be available at all times. The Service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service unavailability.

5.4 "As Is" Disclaimer

RPS ARENA IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RPS ARENA AND ITS OPERATORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR CRYPTOCURRENCY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT OF ENTRY FEES YOU HAVE PAID IN THE 30 DAYS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RPS Arena, its operators, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
• Your violation of any third-party rights

8. Intellectual Property

All content, graphics, designs, and code comprising RPS Arena are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

9. Dispute Resolution

9.1 Match Disputes

Match outcomes are determined by our game server and are final. We do not arbitrate disputes between players regarding match outcomes. If you believe there was a technical error affecting a match result, you may contact us, but we reserve sole discretion in investigating and resolving such claims.

9.2 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

9.3 Arbitration

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of RPS Arena shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be announced on our platform. Your continued use of RPS Arena after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to RPS Arena at any time, for any reason, without prior notice. Upon termination, these Terms remain in effect for any prior use of the Service.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and RPS Arena regarding your use of the Service.

By using RPS Arena, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
